Fixed Gear Culture: Greg Cox, UK.

So the new craze amongst the youth of the nation is to ride fixed gear bikes at ridiculously fast speeds through moving traffic. Using bikes known as fixies, they are modified to be as light as possible to gain maximum speed - with NO brakes. I decided to hook up with one of Coventrys most well known fixie kids DJ Obvious to see what it's all about.Itchey Labels: So what actually got you into

Music: A day with Pint Shot Riot in London.

So this was the first time I'd worked with Pint Shot Riot in over a year. The band were in London for PR meetings, interviews and a gig that evening in Shoreditch. Street Life: Swimming with the fishes.

So I was teaching English in a school in the Ramkhemheng area of Bangkok. One day after I had finished teaching, I had a photography job to do in the Lad Prao area of Bangkok. As I was leaving the school I teach in, I received a call from an American friend telling me they had pulled a body out of the river so I took the boat up to Mahad Thai bridge. As I got of the boat, there was a crowd of

Street Life: Death in Hong Kong.

So on my last day in Hong Kong, I walked into Tshim Sha Tsui (A district in Kowloon) to get my self a McDonalds breakfast and continue reading Richard Bransons autobiography. On my walk home, I was just admiring the view of the harbour when a dead squid caught my eye. I was looking at it in amazement, because I was watching some mad documentary the previous night on giant squid in America.

Travel: Hong Kong ♥

Hong Kong, is my second favourite city in the world behind Singapore. I spent a week there and it was wicked! It was very similar to the UK. Road signs, buildings, etc. The girls were hot! (As expected) But the thing that really blew me away was how fashionable people were there. Everyone was dressed to perfection whether it was indie kids, streetwear kids or the punks. What was really HOT was

Travel: Super Singapore!

So I went to stay in Singapore for a week and it was amazing. Singapore located at the southern tip of Malaysia is one of the financial powerhouses of south east asia. The streets are clean, public transport is efficient and always on time and I'd say Singapore would be a wicked place to live. The girls are hot, but not as fashionable as there Hong Kong counterparts. If you like drugs, Singapore

When it comes to graphic design and illustration, Adobe Photoshop is the weapon of choice for today’s artists. BarcelonaAfter studying Various Graffiti works throughout the cities we have visited this semester. I studied how different graffiti effects public space. What I discovered is how it can actually change public space. Here we see 2 pictures in Barcelona on a street, during the day the shops are open and business is running, but when they close and the garage doors go down the environment of the
Morocco FesOn our field trip to Fes we spent 6 days tour around the city. I looked for Graffiti and soon realized that instead of it ever being considered to be toloated it is considered a crime against their culture and heritage. The buildings are considered profane and the only act of displaying Graffiti is through the carving of coligraphy and inscribtion in Arabic in homes and in Mosques.

Graffiti BilbaoThis graffiti art was photographed in Bilbao on our way to the Winery's. The Language is in Bask and has a very interesting style. It has a geometric concept to it that isnt relevant in any other graffiti I have photographed in Spain. It is composed of several different geometric patterns that are filled either solid or lightly shaded. In the back ground of the photo you can see
Graffiti BarcelonaThis graffiti was photographed in Barcelona. I think this method of spray painting is most interesting because it comes alive at different times of the day. Since the graffiti is done on the garage doors of restaurants, and retail centers. They are only open at certain hours of the day. So the experience is only seen during closing hours, siesta, and on Sundays. The work is
Graffiti Art MeridaSorry for the quality, This was a night shot. This was the only graffiti I found in Merida. It was located by the Roman Aqueducts and was very incredible. This was the most beautiful work I found along our trip to southern Spain. The location seemed to be more private then public since it was behind some bushes away from the Aqueducts. But the art was amazing, It had
Granada SevillaThese were taken in Sevilla of the empty spaces from 1992 Exhibition. You can see here that there is no real hierarchy of graffiti art here. The place is a location where several artists come together to express their art together in integration. It combines a portrait of different styles and feelings of the artists together. It is a perfect location to do this also. After 1992
Graffiti SevillaThought I would add this from the recycling bins
Graffiti SevillaThis Graffiti was taken in our trip to Sevilla. There was alot of interesting Spray paint done in this city. But this caught the most of my attention because it was a targeting idea. These small structures purpose were for recycling. There were several of these throught the city each spray painted differently. They were not mainstream sprayed with any type of companies or
Graffiti Located In GranadaThis next location I choose to photograph because the location seemed perfect. It was on the route to the Alhambra and Unlike the Madrid Graffiti that looked permanent this seemed to be almost a temporary exhibit. It was sprayed on a building under-construction so the artist knowing the it probably wouldn't last long did a quick Tag of a word (in Spanish and complicated
Graffiti MadridThis Photo was taken During our Visit to Madrid. Location was on a small public square. You can see the large mural was probably done in pieces because of the detail it could not have been completed in one night. It seems to express a portrait of a graffiti artist and an eye. In between them I can make out one word in English that says Soul. The other word of above this I cannot

I am also adding that it was my birthday weekend and I am now 23 and Old. We had a great night on Thursday and tonight we are heading out for the festivals this weekend that are happening in several different cities. We hope to return on a 6am train, but we have finished all our work.
I have been currently out of commission for a computer, mine has fried. But southern Spain was incredible. I had said previously said that my blog would be centered around graffiti. I took several pictures of graffiti throughout our travels, taking the best shots i could in each city. It has shown that graffiti artists tend to have the best works in public squares. And most art around that
